September 16th, 2008: The Day Obama Won The Election

His speech on the economy in Golden, Colorado (along with a more barn-burning speech in Cross Orchards)

Highlights: slams McCain's idea of a "9/11" style commission to explore the financial crisis as more fiddling while Rome burns.

Explains how his policies and proposals, if they had been adopted, would have averted the crisis.

Effectively paints McCain as one of the deregulators who've contributed to the crisis.

Sounds reassuring while McCain sounds panicked.

Offers six basic economic principals.

Comes up with nice sound-bites. Particularly like this one: "If (McCain) thinks (that his lobbyists mean “change”), well I’ve got a bridge to sell you up in Alaska."
