New polling out today from Rasmussen and Gallup both show McCain's lead shrinking to just 1 point.
Remember, these are both three-day tracking polls that have had a steady 2 - 3 point McCain lead till today. That means Obama's numbers today have to be pretty good: probably just ahead of McCain in order to bump his standing over the three day average - if he holds that, the polls will catch up. By the end of the week, Obama will probably regain his one point lead nationally.
On the downside, Obama's polling in Pennsylvania is pretty bad: the state is a dead heat, and if he loses Pennsylvania, he'll probably lose the election. If you can, volunteer to help out in Pennsylvania.
