It's so odd - to go from jubilation last night over Obama to a feeling of mourning, today, over Prop 8 passing. I know others who share this feeling.
We had a few hours to feel good about America. Then today woke up again to the reality that the long, hard struggle is far from over.
Hard not to feel like this moment of celebration has been cruelly and quickly ended.
It's a hard lesson. But worth remembering. Hope, alone, is not enough.
