What seems worse than the tragedy of zombie shoppers trampling to death the employee trying to let them into the store is the uncontrolled moralizing that has ensued. The conclusion on the left is that capitalism corrupts the soul and on the right that liberalism turns poor people and minorities into mindless zombies.
I just wonder if the panic to get the last discount doohickey or die trying isn't anything more than a sad symbol of how much I hate this time of year.
