If Obama Governs From the Center - That's Actually Left of Where People Think

A new report today spells out that the country is much more to the left than right-wing pundits would have us believe.

So when people say Obama should "govern from the center," know that that no longer means things like deregulation, axis of evil, dill-baby-drill, and "don't ask/don't tell." The center now means active government, fairer taxes, gay rights, progressive foreign policy, alternative energy, environmental protections, social security, and government solutions to the health care crisis.

That's the platform Obama ran on. His election with a clearly decisive 365 electoral majority pretty much establishes it as the new center.
