Memo to Gays: Leave Mormons Alone

Dale Carpenter argues that gays shouldn't target Mormons in their anger about Proposition 8.

I'm not convinced.

Yes, name calling and bigotry is uncalled for. As is singling out a "demographic group" based on exit polling (the mis-assumptions there are too numerous to name).

But it's time someone highlighted the the religious hypocrisy of religions spending millions of dollars in campaigns trying to legislate their own personal belief system. That's not what this country is about. We're about the separation of church and state.

Mormons weren't the only ones to do this. The Knights of Columbus should be protested also. But when are we going to protest this, if not now?
